Badge
Your personal name badge is your entrance ticket to all sessions and other activities of the 21th SEH congress. Please remember to wear this badge at all times during the meeting and the social activities. At the back of your badge is a number that you can call in case of emergencies.
Languages
The official meeting language will be English. No simultaneous interpretation in other languages will be offered.
Dress code
The dress code will be ‘casual' throughout the meeting.
Time zone
The time in Serbia is Central European Time (CET), which is GMT+1, plus 1 hour in summer.

Electrical supply
Electricity is supplied at 220 volts, 50 Hz. Plugs and sockets are the same as in the Continental countries of the European Union. British, Irish and non-European participants need plug adaptors for electrical appliances.
Water
Tap water is chemically and bacteriologically safe, it has agreeable taste.
Local cuisine and eating out
The best Serbian cuisine, or as we like to call it food for the soul, will provide you with a unique experience and indulge your emotions. In Serbia, we use traditional recipes and organic ingredients. Just like the language of flowers and niceties are easy on the nose and ear, so is the food easy on the tongue, and will remain in your memory for a long time.
Belgrade has numerous restaurants of various styles, prices and categories serving local or international cuisine. Most restaurants are open for lunch from 12.00 to 15.00 and for dinner from 17.00 to 24.00, but you can have a bite in most of them throughout the day.
In Serbia, all prices are quoted “all inclusive”, which means that taxes are included and no additional tipping is necessary unless the service has been exceptional.
Life
The fusion of cultures is best expressed in the Serbian traditional cuisine, music, and folklore. Make sure you visit one of the famous taverns along the XIX century-old street for the never before experienced performance of live tambourine orchestra, traditional schnapps (called “rakija”), and barbeque. And, the best of all, you don’t have to pay attention to whether it is day or night, because the magic never stops.
Referring to the city’s nightlife the Lonely Planet Guide named Belgrade “One of the Europe 10 hot spots” and Sunday Times declared Belgrade “A new capital of cool”.
Driving license
International Driving Licenses are recognized throughout Serbia. Car rental companies ask for a valid driving license. For your requests please contact Congress secretariat.
Currency
Serbian official currency is the dinar (RSD). Currency exchange is done in all banks and exchange offices. The current exchange rate may be checked on the website of the National Bank of Serbia, but rates at different exchange offices might differ slightly.
Most banks are open from 08.30 to 16.00, Monday through Friday. Post offices are generally open from 09.00 to 17.00. Most services in Serbia accept major credit cards. Credit cards can also be used for cash withdrawing. There are also private foreign exchange offices throughout the city that operate between 09.00 to 18.00 h. On Sundays only duty banks and post offices are open.
Insurance
The Meeting organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to, property belonging to meeting participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your own travel insurance.
Liability
In the case of Government intervention or regulation, military activity, strikes or any other circumstances that make it impossible or inadvisable for the meeting to take place at the time and place provided, the participant shall waive any claim for damages or compensation except the amount paid for registration after deduction of actual expenses incurred in connection with the congress and there shall be no future liability on the part of either party.
Public transportation in Belgrade can be paid inside the vehicle, with the driver by cash, but it is much cheaper to buy the „Belgrade Card“ 1/3/5 day travel card. These cards can be bought at almost every kiosk on the street. Some kiosks may accept payment by card but this is not the rule. You need to buy „Belgrade Card“ only for the first two city zones and they cost: 1-day card – 290 RSD (2,5 EUR); 3-day card - 740 RSD (6,5 EUR); 5-day card – 1040 RSD (9 EUR). With this card, You get an unlimited number of rides for a designated number of days. Remember to validate Your card every time You enter the transportation. These cards do are not valid for night lines, but the majority of the day lines operate until past midnight. On the other hand, if You choose to pay for transportation with the driver, tickets cost 150 RSD (1,25 EUR) and are valid for 90 minutes (within this time You can change lines).
